Manager Research Assessment and Education

(Speech Pathologist)

 

Taralye is a leader in the provision of services to hearing impaired children and their families (birth - school entry) in Victoria. Established in 1968, Taralye provides an innovative and responsive home, community and centre-based program. Services are delivered with a commitment to family-centred practice, oral speech and language outcomes and inclusive early childhood experiences.

 

Reporting to the CEO this role has responsibility for:

  • collaborating with key stakeholders in promoting evidence-based practice internally and externally  through application of research findings
  • managing the assessment of communication skills of children with hearing loss in collaboration with families and early intervention key workers
  • coordinating educational opportunities for secondary and tertiary students, professionals and the general public  

 

Prior experience in a research field related to hearing impairment/speech and language development would be advantageous.    

 

Conditions of employment will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.  The position is 0.5 EFT with possibility of additional hours depending on clinical caseload.
