Rural and Regional Program

Taralye provides rural families with access to professionals and network support.

Taralye is able to offer early intervention and support programs beyond the metropolitan area.

Taralye continues to work with rural and regional families across the State. Visiting services are currently offered in Ballarat, Warrnambool, Geelong and Drouin. We work closely with local allied professionals and community organisations to ensure best outcomes for the hearing impaired child and family.

Taralye can provide rural families with:

  • Regular professional assessments, information, guidance and support
  • Resources, in-services and professional support to locally based professionals eg. speech pathologists, kindergarten teachers, child care workers
  • Parent-to-parent rural support networks

The Rural and Regional program encourages communication between Taralye and families with deaf children throughout Victoria.

Taralye would like to thank the generous support of philanthropic trusts, such as FRRR - Foundation for Rural and Regional Renewal, R.M. Ansett Trust, The Andrews Foundation, The Ray and Joyce Uebergang Foundation and H.V. McKay Charitable Trust.

Without their support Taralye would not be able to provide children with a hearing impairment the opportunity to learn to listen and speak in regional Victoria.
