A Family Program

In partnership with families we develop a program that meets the needs of each child and family including:

  • ·                Individual sessions with an Early Intervention Coordinator
     
    ·                Annual assessment of speech, language & communication skills
     
    ·                Access to a multi-disciplinary team:
     
    o       Early Intervention Coordinator
    o       Speech Pathologist
    o       Social Worker
    o       Psychologist
    o       Librarian
    o       Technician
     
    ·                Regular checks of hearing devices
     
    ·                Annual family meeting
     
    ·                Visits to local community programs e.g. day care, kindergarten
     
    ·                Liaison with Australian Hearing, the Cochlear Implant Clinic and others
     
    ·                Contact with other families through the “Footsteps” program
     
    ·                Groups information & support sessions
     
    ·                Participation in small group programs
